What is Dutton Ranch about?
In Dutton Ranch, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) are striking out on their own, and relocating for a new adventure. Their ward, Carter (Finn Little), is along for the ride, and – despite serious distractions – Beth and Rip work hard to ensure he becomes the man he’s meant to be.
Set just after the events of the Yellowstone series finale, the new show follows Beth and Rip as they take on a 7,000-acre ranch in South Texas. Even with all of its beautiful landscapes and peaceful lifestyle, the pair run into hiccups trying to survive in the area, including a ruthless rival ranch run by a wealthy owner.
Yellowstone fans will remember Beth purchasing a small ranch in Montana in the series finale. It will be exciting to see what becomes of that land and the Dutton legacy as they embark on their new life in South Texas, where blood runs deeper and forgiveness is fleeting.
Dutton Ranch is part of the world of Yellowstone, picking up where the original series ends. The new Yellowstone series is based on characters created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson.
Other shows from the world of Yellowstone: the Yellowstone origin stories 1883 and 1923, and the new CBS Original drama Marshals. 1883, 1923, and Marshals all stream on Paramount+.
